Beta Sauvignon Blanc Semillon

Crawford River Beta Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is typically a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon. The vines reach down into chalky limestone with fossilized seashells below.

The grape varieties are vinified separately. They are whole bunch pressed to tank and chilled overnight. The juice is racked to seasoned French oak barrels and fermented with natural yeasts.

After 11 months in oak the wine is blended to tank, spending six months settling in stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation is allowed to occur. There is no fining prior to bottling.

Pale lemon, Crawford River Beta Sauvignon Blanc Semillon has vibrant stone fruit flavours, taut minerality and supple, textural layers. Cellaring potential is three years.
